A study for the redesign of the medical exam table aimed to equalize the relationship between doctor and patient. After comparing sizes of different tables and staging medical exams to learn what heights and positions were required for various procedures, a buck was built to test specific positions for the new table. Minimizing the form for the mechanism allows for a smaller scale chair that can be adjusted to facilitate the exam.
